Social Media Fundraisers: Network for a Cure

Share

We all know that social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter can keep us connected with friends and communities. But did you know that they are also great places to raise funds for causes you are passionate about, including the National Multiple Sclerosis Society? Explore the ways you can use social media to help change the world for those affected by MS.

Support a Society event

Create an online Fundraiser directly linked to your personal DonorDrive fundraising page on your event website to help spread awareness and meet your fundraising goals. You can send email updates and post on your favorite social network right from the Dashboard. Check out your event website for our handy how-to guide to Facebook Fundraisers, or see Instagram’s guide to creating a fundraiser on your bio.

Honor a loved one

Raising money on your social media platforms is a great way to celebrate a friend or family member. You can create a Society Honorary Fund for someone in your life or a Memorial Fund for someone you have lost. Then share the fund with your network and give your community the chance to make a difference in the lives of those affected by MS.

Birthday donation campaign

Ask for the best birthday gift of all: a world free of MS. Bring your friends and family together to advance the Society's mission with a birthday fundraiser. It's easy, fun and secure. And — bonus! — platforms like Facebook and Instagram often cover the processing fees. Happy birthday!

Facebook Donation Campaign

Raise awareness

Awareness campaigns are a great opportunity to capitalize on online enthusiasm for donating to worthy causes. For instance, time your fundraiser with MS Awareness Week or Giving Tuesday to build on the larger momentum for giving.
